Automation and technical change (including robots of one kind or another) are destroying over half a million jobs in banking and finance in the UK alone. However, it should be added that a state is theoretically unlimited in its own currency. The problem is typically when the state cannot fulfill its obligations in a foreign currency within the deadline. However, this does not threaten us at the moment.
